Pe 10 mai, Transcending Obscurity Records va lansa noul album al formatiei britanice De Profundis. Cel de-al 5-lea material de studio, ce vine dupa o pauza de 3 ani, poarta numele “The Blinding Light Of Faith” si contine 8 piese. Noul single de promovare, care beneficiaza de un lyric video, este pentru piesa “Godforsaken”.
Cu ocazia acestui disc, trupa a prezentat fanilor si noul logo, realizat de Gary Ronaldson (Misery Index, Benighted) in timp ce coperta a fost realizata de Alex Tartsus (Sinister, Depravity). Despre acest disc trupa a declarat:
“The Blinding Light of Faith is an album about three of the most merciless and bloodthirsty institutions in human history. There is no nation or people on this earth who haven’t suffered under the savagery of at least one of the Abrahamic religions and to reflect that suffering we have made the heaviest, most aggressive record of our career.”
