A 11-a editie Old Grave Fest va avea loc in zilele de 11 si 12 octombrie 2024, in clubul Quantic din Bucuresti. Evenimentul este organizat de Romanian Thrash Metal Club iar noile trupe confirmate sunt Tormentor (headliner), Blood, Arkham Witch, Inhuman Nature, Sexmag si Gallower.
Black metal legends Tormentor join the headliners of Old Grave Fest, on their first visit in Romania. Formed in 1985 in Budapest, Hungary, and releasing the seminal demos The 7th Day of the Doom and Anno Domini soon after, Tormentor are considered one of the foremost representatives of the famed first wave of black metal bands, alongside names such as Hellhammer and Bathory. Led by founding members, guitarist Attila Szigeti and vocalist extraordinaire Attila Csihar, who would go on to also front the infamous Mayhem, joined by old comrades bassist György Farkas and drummer Machat St. Zsoltar (both in band since 1987), Tormentor will sound the Apocalypse this October in Bucharest.
We’re also happy to announce that Blood‘s show, cancelled last year due to a family death, has been rescheduled for this edition. You’ve had the chance to meet and talk to some of the Blood musicians in attendance last year, you’ll now witness them unleashing the full power of the German death/grind machine onstage.
Need some doom? Say no more. From Keighley, West Yorkshire, we present to you the heavy/doom barbarians Arkham Witch, arguably the best British band in this particular subgenre since Witchfinder General. Check out their excellent last album Swords Against Death (2022) to get an idea of what they’re about.
Also from UK, we bring you the thrash/crossover/hardcore unit Inhuman Nature. With a sound as energetic as the style description suggests (think of Power Trip, but with stronger hardcore leanings), the London quintet come set on detonating a nuclear mosh in Quantic club. A lot more awesome bands TBA, so better grab your tickets now.
Wait, there’s more! This year, the madness starts early again. That’s right, the Day 0 of the festival or, as we like to call it, the Cold Grave Party, is making a comeback. And who better to start the party than the united front of the utterly mad, blasphemous black/thrash Polish legions of Sexmag and Gallower. And they won’t be alone, more announcements to come. Cold Grave tickets will start sell at a later time.
