Kenny Wayne Shepherd a lansat videoclipul “Lay It On Down”, piesa ca da titlul ultimului album de studio aparut in luna august 2017 sub egida Provogue/Mascot Label Group. Discul, compus in Nashville si inregistrat la Echophone Studios din Shreveport, Louisiana, este produs de Shepherd impreuna cu Marshall Altman (Matt Nathanson, Natasha Bedingfield, Kate Voegele) si inregistrat in cea mai mare parte analogic.
Celebrul chitarist ii are alaturi pe solistul vocal Noah Hunt, bateritul Chris Layton, basistul Kevin McCormick si claparul Jimmy McGorman. Despre acest disc Kenny Wayne Shepherd a declarat:
“I’m proud of the album we have delivered to the fans and I think they’ll be excited by what they hear. The band we’ve assembled did a fantastic job bringing these songs to life and conveying the musical message to the listener.”
