Vesti bune pentru fanii formatiei seuedeze Amon Amarth. Dupa aparitia, in luna noiembrie 2018, a DVD-ului “The Pursuit of Vikings: 25 Years in the Eye of the Storm”, care contine filmarea concertelor din 2017 de la festivalul Summer Breeze dar si un film documentar despre istoria trupei, vikingii au anuntat aparitia noului material discografic.
Acesta poarta numele “Berserker” si va fi lansat pe 3 mai 2019, sub egida Metal Blade Records. Discul a fost inregistrat in studioul Sphere din California cu ajutorul producatrului Jay Ruston, nume care a mai colaborat cu Anthrax, Stone Sour, Steel Panther sau Uriah Heep. Al doilea extras pe single, primul a fost “Raven’s Flight”, este videoclipul piesei “Crack the Sky” si poate fi urmarit mai jos.
Despre “Berserker”, Johan Hegg, vocea trupei, a declarat: “With the last record, I wrote a complete fucking movie script and we turned it into an album. This time around, I didn’t have any of those ideas but we also didn’t want to do a concept thing, either. “Jomsviking” turned out so well, so if you then start working on another concept album and try to top that, it would almost be impossible — unless you have a really great story lined up that you can do that with. But I didn’t, so it didn’t make sense. I was a bit lazy on this one — I waited for the music to be done so I could see where it would take me.”
