In data de 11 octombrie 2011 casa de discuri Show Dog-Universal Music a lansat un album tribut in onoarea celebrei formatii texane ZZ Top. Cu o cariera de peste 40 de ani trupa a anuntat ca la sfarsitul anului 2012 va lansa un nou material discografic.

Intitulat "A Tribute From Friends" albumul contine 11 piese clasice ZZ Top interpretate de artisti de top ca Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), John McVie (Fleetwood Mac) sau Duff McKagan (Duff McKagan's Loaded, Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N Roses).
