Discul a fost lansat in data de 30 august 2011 si este produs de celebrul Rick Rubin care a mai colaborat cu trupa pe albumele Stadium Arcadium (2006), By The Way (2002), Californication (1999), One Hot Minute (1995) si Blood Sugar Sex Magik (1991) dar si cu formatiile Slayer, Slipknot, The Mars Volta, Danzig, Dixie Chicks, Metallica, AC/DC, System of a Down, The Cult, Neil Diamond, Mick Jagger, Linkin Park sau Rage Against the Machine.
